FLEET ENGINEER OF THE YEAR (HGV)

The IRTE Fleet Engineer of the Year (HGV) Award is for fleet engineers working in the Heavy Good Vehicle industry. The award is aimed at those who demonstrate a high level of engineering standards within their organisation whilst at the same time implementing their own innovations that improve operations and provide financial benefits to the company.

These standards may be demonstrated through data or other evidence of industry-leading levels of vehicle reliability, availability, safety, and first-time annual test pass rates. Examples of innovation may involve reducing fuel consumption and downtime for maintenance, increasing efficiency, or using technology to solve a specific problem. The judges will be looking for an individual that makes a significant contribution to a well-run fleet, and possesses a high level of technical and legal knowledge.

Supporting evidence must be provided that demonstrates the level of work undertaken by the engineer and the benefits that have come as a result of their work.
